(Benesov Region) This castle from the 1280s, originally in the french style comprising numerous towers. was initially rebuilt as Renaissance mansion, which later underwent baroque changes. J.Mocker conducted fundamental Romantic refurbishment removing all traces of the Baroque in 1889-1894 for Crown Prince Ferdinand d'Este. The interiors offer rich collections of weapons, armours, hunting trophies and the 1,500 items that make up the Cult of St.George collection.
